Here is some stuff I see while running around cities waiting for shows to start, friends to arrive, cabs, hotel check-ins, my stomach to grumble, the rain to stop, more art and beer...
In December '08 I came across a guy painting a mural in an alleyway. The mural was a commission for the Two Parrots Taverna, located on the corner of Granville and Davie St. The actual mural can be seen from the alley behind the pub.
The artists name was Trevor...I think, but I have no other info on him.
Here are some pieces located off Granville.
Ambling about, drinking beer and coffee all day pretty well ensures that you will have to go to the washroom at some point. While searching for a washroom that I wouldn't need a tetanus shot for, I found the most stylin' loo you could imagine.
It was a bit of a maze to get to it but if you aren't there to enjoy the food, drinks or ambiance of the lounge, venture downstairs at Opus Bar (Vancouver) to find glowing sinks and creep on your date with monitors of the upstairs lounge set into the mirrors.
