Jeremy Fish
The Ambush
What? Is this what you were waiting for? Alright... so because John and Jessica Trippe of Fecal Face Dot Gallery (fecalface.com) are so super rad, I got in on an advance viewing of Jeremy Fish:: The Ambush show, which opened on Thursday Feb 26th.
As things start to warm up, chill the beer and crack the gates, I was pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of the show. Two installations and one elaborately framed print. Fish was obviously using new styles and a new hue to his backgrounds. His stead fast technique is quite iconic to his over-all style so the changes he's made in this work is easy to spot. The over-all theme of the show, The Ambush, is based on the ideology of not forgetting 'the little people' who got you were you are in life, cause if you do, you may want to prepare for a surprise beat down. The full write up on the psychology of the show can be found on the FFDG website. Limited run of The Ambush screenprints and wood rendered works are available through Fecal Face Dot Gallery.
