FABRIC8 GALLERIES PRESENTS THE (1)4TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW

fabric8 is pleased to present our (1)4th Anniversary Show, featuring works by long-time collaborators Ursula X Young, Reuben Rude, Erik Otto, Norm Maxwell, Romanowski, and Daniel Fleres.

Situated in the Mission since 2006, and online since 1996, fabric8 has continued to feature art, clothing, music, and accessories by independent artists and designers. Since expanding the gallery space three-fold last July, they have begun to showcase larger works from an expanded roster of artists.

To celebrate their longevity, fabric8 is going back to their roots and showcasing the large works of a few of the artists that have grown and changed with them. Norm Maxwell worked with fabric8.com on one of their very first websites in 1997, Revolution, which garnered multi-media design awards from Macromedia. They first met Romanowski in 2002 when he began marketing his mixtapes and CDs to the masses. The first t-shirt line by Ursula X Young was featured on the fabric8 Bazaar website in
2004. As fabric8 expanded into a physical space, each of these artists was able to stretch their artistic muscles by contributing permanent installations as well as selling pieces.

The Anniversary Show will be on exhibit from January 22 through February 22 at fabric8 Galleries, 3318 22nd Street, San Francisco, and open 7 days a week.

The artists’ reception for will be held on Saturday, January 23, from 7pm-10pm.
