TandemArt

BIO:

TandemArt is a two man custom art team created long before nationwide talent contests became socially relevant again. Founded by Max Sawka and Kyle Howard, TandemArt has had several art shows, sold over 100 custom works and continue to create on a daily (sometimes monthly) basis.

Beyond canvas work, TandemArt has created large scale murals for such clients as: Elan Snowboards, Sears, HBO films and the Fashion Design Council ofCanada. They’ve also painted across the globe and guest lectured at the University of Toronto. All the works they create are heavily influenced by their graffiti backgrounds and tend to be simplistic and accessible. 

What makes TandemArt different, as the name suggests, is that the majority of their works are created in tandem. Many pieces are started by one of the artists and then finished by the other, or simply passed back and forth over an afternoon, or three week period. While this method of creation blurs the line of authorship (and reduces profit) it is the foundation of any TandemArt piece and has been for over 10 years.
