Darren Camplin

My name is Darren Camplin, originally from Ontario, I now call
Vancouver home.

I guess you could say I have 
always been a drawer/sketcher...
I basically always had a 
sketchbook in hand, to be honest
I think for the most part 
sketching was just something to 
do other than homework at night 
and listen to the teacher during
class. 

It has 
only been three years that I 
have been experimenting with 
acrylic, which is the main 
ingredient for most of my works 
to date. Up to this point in my 
painting career it has been one 
big experimental process to see 
what I really like to do...I 
have come into my own in the 
last little while. This series 
has been super fun exploring
love and life and portraying it 
on canvas. I am still a firm 
believer in love, and I have 
been upset lately by the lack 
of love in the world ....

... so this is my way to get back at the world with a splash of pastel purple. KAPOOOW!!
